We're super excited to be launching the first version of Shared Calendars. Stay in sync with your friends and family by bringing everyone together in a shared space. Initially we're releasing this on web only, with mobile coming in the new year.

  • We fixed an issue on iOS and Android where changing the start time on an event wouldn't change the end time.

Calendar Updates

  • New calendar colours - choose a colour for each of your calendars.

  • New colour categorisation options - choose whether your events are color coded by calendar colour or category colour

New event details

  • New event details design - we've redesigned the event details on web and mobile to make it easier to quickly scan through the details.

  • New colours - we've revamped the colours throughout the apps to make everything clearer and more vibrant.

  • Darker dark mode - dark mode is now even darker. Yep.

Other small improvements

We've reorganised settings on web and mobile to make it easier to find things.

Bug Fixes

Web

  • We fixed a bug where overflowing events would be in the wrong place when the number of all-day events changed

  • We fixed a bug where events would be in the wrong place on days with 23 or 25 hours (daylight savings time)

  • We fixed a bug where some events would not be shown on days when the clocks go forward.

  • We fixed a bug where muting some all-day events would make them take up the full width of the screen

  • We fixed a bug where the current time label would cause layout issues close to midnight

  • We fixed a bug where the placeholder in the new event search box was no longer randomised each time you open it

  • Fixed a bug where the delete picker would not open for recurring events

Mobile

  • Fixed an issue where the app might not show cached events when you’re offline

  • The colour of events in widgets now matches your settings – either based on calendar, or category

  • Fixed occasional app crashes.

  • On iOS and Android, we fixed an issue where you couldn’t change your username between uppercase and lowercase letters.

  • Choose the username that you'll be able to share with others! We're making Daybridge more social – for now, you can grab a username from settings on mobile and web.

  • Choose the calendar that new events get added to by default, from settings in the mobile apps

  • Choose which calendar a shared event is added to by tapping the calendar name

  • On iOS, we fixed a bug that could prevent an event title being typed depending on your keyboard layout

  • We also squashed several other bugs:

    • We love our Daybridge Purple™, but it would sometimes briefly appear on screen when you used the back button on Android. This is now fixed!

    • You’ll no longer be stuck in limbo when restoring the app from a backup on a new iPhone (sorry, iPhone 14 users!)

Web

  • Sidebar controls are now tinted to match the color of the event being created or edited

  • The sidebar date picker now closes after you’ve clicked a date

  • We fixed an error when you clicked to enter your phone number, then clicked the country dropdown in Settings

  • Fixed the cursor jumping when dragging an event

  • Fixed the shadow on call link buttons being cut off

  • Performance of loading, animations, and transitions have been improved

Mobile

  • Events are now shown in your device's time zone

  • Swiping between days is now much smoother

  • On iOS, we swapped out the app's typeface (bye Inter, hello San Francisco Rounded)

  • On Android, we fixed a bug that sent notifications for past events.
